The character in question from samurai champoo appears to be an elderly man who is fearful of dogs, yet claims to be a samurai. in the second chapter of the anime series, this individual engages in combat with jin. however, as ryūjirō sasaki had already passed away due to oniwakamaru's actions of strangling him to death, he was forced into retreat since no one would compensate him for his services.
