In the anime "Genjo Sanzo," Genjo Sanzo arrives in India and uses his staff to drain half of the ocean, revealing a submerged fortress. He can fly using clouds as transportation and severely injures Nancy during their confrontation. However, he is ultimately defeated by Yomiko, who throws thousands of index cards at him. Despite this, Genjo Sanzo survives long enough to give Yomikos book to Jean-Henri Fabre before being killed by Ikkyu Soujun.
