Grand Elder Guru, The Eldest, The Great Elder, 最長老

The Guru character in Dragon Ball Z is known for being the oldest and wisest Namekian survivor of a catastrophic climate shift that occurred several hundred years before the events of the series. He was one of three survivors, along with Kami and King Piccolo, who were once part of the same entity prior to Kamis separation from his inner evil. Guru is celebrated for saving the Namekian race after the climate shift by laying eggs and continuing their species. During his lifetime, he produced 109 offspring, including Nail and Dende. In the original Japanese version, Guru does not have a name and is referred to simply as "The Eldest".
