The chef is a Chinese expert in traditional Chinese cuisine and has a close friendship with Ken Matsushiro. He inherited the skills of an ancient assassination group called Ryuuke Shinken, which contributed to his culinary abilities. Early in his career, he taught Azuma and Kawachi how to make yakisoba at Matsushiros request. In Yakitate!! 9, he competed against Azuma.
