Initially, Maka and Soul believed that Blair was a witch they needed to transform Soul into a Death Scythe. However, upon further examination, it was discovered that she was merely a cat with exceptional magical abilities. The central motif of Blair's magic revolves around pumpkins, which she employs as weapons such as bombs and cannons. She has developed feelings for Soul, whom she affectionately refers to as "Scythe Boy," and playfully flirts with him. Additionally, Blair engages in flirtatious behavior towards Soul in an attempt to gauge Maka's reaction. Due to a misunderstanding, Blair was initially intended to be the witch-soul partnership between Maka and Soul; however, since she was not a witch, they were forced to begin anew. Blair is endowed with exceptional abilities and frequently uses them to flirt with Soul by appearing partially or completely out of her cat form while wearing little to no clothing. She possesses strong interpersonal skills and is always seeking amusement, whether it be harmless or not. Her hat, named Zwan, can transform into a hand when commanded to do so. Occasionally, Blair refers to herself in the third person.
