In the manga "Boo! Hancock," Haruhiko does not see an advertisement in the magazine like Sakura and Daisuke do. Later, Rin encounters him in a uniform store while he is wearing his Marine Uniform. Upon recognizing who he is, Rin realizes that Haruhiko feels guilty about something terrible he did to Shion in his past life. As a result, Haruhiko follows all of Rin's instructions, including claiming to be the reincarnation of Shion. This move proves to be successful as it causes the other reincarnates to fear him and question what he may do to them, even though no actions have been taken yet. Despite this, Haruhiko has a weak heart due to his excessive use of ESP when he was younger. Additionally, he physically resembles Shion because Shukaido was infatuated with him at the time of his death. This is evident when Haruhiko mentions that his mother is half Indian, making him 3/4 Japanese and 1/4 Indian.
