A seventeen-year-old villager, Masao, is friends with the Mutou siblings, particularly Tohru. However, he dislikes Natsuno intensely. Masao is known for being insensitive and cowardly, with a childish need for attention from others. His sister-in-law observes that he holds a deep hatred towards his nephew due to the fact that before the birth of the nephew, Masao was always pampered by the family.
