Momoshiro from Class 8 in Seishun Gakuen's second year is known for being aggressive but friendly to many people, which explains why freshmen are drawn to him and he has friends from rival tennis clubs as well. Although he can be impulsive with his emotions and perceptions, he makes an effort to make amends later on. Initially, Momoshiro sees himself as a Singles player and gets into a disagreement with Echizen over who would win the Singles Three title. However, when he is paired up with Echizen, they create the "ah-un" strategy. As time goes by, Momoshiro focuses more on doubles play, especially when he replaces Oishi in the Hyotei-Seigaku match against Oshitari and Gakuto. His last Singles match was against Oshitari, where he lost after being hit with a pole. Despite his brash behavior, Momoshiro is considered the "Trickster of Seigaku" by one of the players during the Nationals Tournament due to his impressive play that somewhat resembles Insight, although not at the same level as Atobe's.
At the end of the series and the manga, Momoshiro is seen as the new vice captain while Kaidoh functions as the captain.
