Blathers, フータ

Blathers (フータ, Fūta) is an owl scholar who serves as a curator at the Museum in every Animal Crossing series game. He accepts donations such as fish, insects, fossils, and paintings, and his name comes from the word "blather," which means to babble or speak rapidly without making much sense. Despite this, Blathers is very knowledgeable and informative, often providing detailed explanations of any object that is donated to the museum. As an owl, he sleeps during the daylight hours but can still accept donations by talking to him. Blathers has a distinct dislike for bugs and will make it known when one is donated to him. In Wild World, if the player tries to donate a bug that has already been donated previously, Blathers will reject it and beg the player to keep the cage closed until they leave the building.
