Hasegawa owns Cafe Creole and has a spouse named Chiyomi. He feels hesitant when participating in the extermination of Shiki during their cleansing process in pipelines. Many villagers drag the Shiki outside to be killed under the daylight, which they find agonizing. Hasegawa shows mercy by stabbing them gently so that they do not suffer any further pain or discomfort.
