Ayane Kanzaki, also known as "Noble Tempest," is a close friend and alter of Kimishima. Her ability allows her hair to turn anything it touches into water and causes an octopus-like alter to appear in the form of a hair ornament. Although she doesn't enjoy fighting, she uses her powers when necessary. Later, she is captured and has her abilities refined extensively, allowing her complete control over water and chemical reactions with elements within it. She also gains access to a gargantuan alter by using a conchlike apparatus hanging from a necklace. During the battle against Kazuma, Ayane discovers that her brother has died, leading to her own death shortly after, losing all will to live. In the manga, she marries Kimishima and they have a child together. In the anime, it seems like Ayase may have developed feelings for Kazuma, although this is not confirmed to be reciprocated towards Kimishima. She first appears in Episode 4 of the series.
