Sukui is a medical-nin from Konohagakure who was assigned to the Logistical Support and Medical Division during the Fourth Shinobi World War. During this time, while there were many casualties that needed to be healed, the scroll used by the division to seal away corpses with kekkei genkai and other special abilities was stolen by a reincarnated Hayate Gekko and two other ninja. Realizing the severity of the situation, Sukui formed a team consisting of Yokaze, Sakura Haruno, Iou, and Yugao Uzuki to retrieve the KIA scroll. However, when she realized that Yugao was being put in an uncomfortable position, Sukui apologized but emphasized that for the mission to be successful, they needed her participation. With each battlefield concluding their fights, Sakura and Shizune left to support Naruto and B in their own fight, leaving Sukui and the others to tend to the wounded.
