He ends up fighting Komachi, revealing that not only did he lie about his powers (he claimed to be an anaconda) but that his and the rest of his team's powers are Anti-Human. He fights Sylvester Asimov before escaping back into the ANNEX. Liu is an officer and also be considered one of the strongest members of the Annex I despite his low M.A.R.S Ranking. After receiving his M.O. Operation Liu gained the powers and abilities of the Blue Ringed octopus, makes him incredibly strong and durable, being able to recover from heavy hits thanks to some type of body regeneration, generate tentacles, and restrain strong opponents like Komachi Shokichi. Moreover he is able to generate a very strong poison from his tentacles. Yiwu, along with the rest of his team, was thought dead after their "corpses" were found burned beyond recognition. This turned out to be a ruse in an attempt to not only take control of the ANNEX I but also to make China the Earth's main government superpower. Yiwu demanded Komachi Shokichi surrender Akari Hizamaru and Michael K. Davis so China could study them and find a way to recreate their natural born abilities.
