Akagi is an energetic 25-year-old who becomes a giant robot pilot after leaving his office job for the 21st Century Defense Corporation. He's known as the heart and brawn of the three Dai-Guard pilots due to his headstrong, idealistic, and impulsive personality. Akagi is passionate about his work and stands out among his colleagues. However, he often clashes with the rigid bureaucratic methods of his company and superiors. Despite this, Akagi always has good intentions but they often lead him into trouble.
