Fuyuki Hayama  

Akitos father is an executive who works long hours and rarely spends time at home with his children, leading some viewers to believe he's a bad parent. However, as the series progresses, it becomes clear that Mr. Hayama was simply unaware of the strained relationship between him and his kids due to his demanding job. After realizing Akitos struggles and becoming ill himself from overworking, Mr. Hayama starts spending more time at home. Despite being a workaholic, he always supports Akito when he gets into trouble, even when no one else does. This could be because Mr. Hayama and Akitos mother were rebellious young adults themselves. Mr. Hayama is known for his calm demeanor but occasionally breaks out of his reserved nature with amusing results. He develops a fondness for Sana and has an odd habit of talking to the TV whenever she appears on screen.
