Mong Ryong  

Mong Ryong is an idealistic young man who left his village in pursuit of becoming an Angyo onshi, with the goal of rescuing his kidnapped lover Chun Hyang (also known as Sando). Despite facing numerous failures - three times to be exact - he persisted until Jushin fell. On his journey back home, Mong Ryong encountered a desert where he saved Munsu from dehydration. Unfortunately, on the way there, they were ambushed by man-eating monsters and Mong Ryong ultimately lost his life. The hairband that Munsu wears was originally given to him as a gift from Sando.
