B.J., also known as Robert Haydn, is an avid fan of hip-hop music and has a tendency to exaggerate or lie about who he is when engaging in battles with other power users. Initially, he convinces another power user that he is Robert Haydn, but his defeat at the hands of the real Robert Haydn motivates Ueki to challenge him for the first time. B.J.'s behavior towards Ai can be considered perverted, and during their first battle, he uses his whirlwinds to try to see her underwear. In their second meeting, he attempts to rub her body, resulting in a punch to his face.
