Zearth was selected for piloting during the third conflict against Cancer, and the chosen pilot was Kodama, a reserved boy who preferred solitude. His father owned a civilian contracting company and was cautious. Although his two older brothers disliked their father and pursued different paths, Kodama admired him as the "chosen one." He even wore glasses like his father's to appear smarter. Growing up under his father's guidance seems to have influenced Kodama's ethical and moral values, causing him to enjoy shooting stray cats with a pellet gun.
