Fayt Leingod  

The protagonist of Star Ocean 3 is named Fayt Leingod. He's an Earth-born college student who appears ordinary but comes from a family with a controversial scientific background. His father, Robert Leingod, specializes in symbological genetics and conducts much of his research on Moonbase. Despite being somewhat slack at schoolwork, Fayt enjoys spending his vacation time on Hyda IV, a popular resort planet, playing combat simulation games.
