Juusan hime Ran  

Jyuusan-hime is the thirteenth daughter or princess of the Ran clan and has a close relationship with her half-sister Shuuei. She was sent to the palace to become Ryuukis consort, but became a target of assassination by an unknown group. The head assassin turned out to be Jin Shiba, who was once Jyuusan-himes first love and a death-row prisoner. After Shusuis departure, she took on the role of head lady-in-waiting and later challenged Shuurei in a contest to make steamed buns. As someone raised by the Shiba family, a renowned retainer clan known for combat, Jyuusan-hime possesses both royal and fighting skills. Due to her resemblance to Shūrei, she was once asked to impersonate her. Given that Shuurei continues to show disinterest in Ryukis time period, Jyuusan-hime is the most likely candidate to become his concubine.
