Shiragiku (白菊) was an oiran who lived in yoshiwara and knew both kubinashi and kejōrō when they were alive. she was said to be in love with kubinashi, and often worried that his robin hood-type behavior would lead to his capture and execution. at one point, a former target of kubinashis threatened shiragiku, demanding information about him. despite her refusal, she was eventually taken hostage. before she could be rescued by kubinashi and his fellow thieves, she had already committed suicide.
