The Blade Child known as Sayoko was adopted and raised in hopes of sparing her from suffering like others of her kind. However, when her true identity as a Blade Child was discovered, she was suddenly pushed off a school roof and miraculously survived. Despite this traumatic experience, Sayoko is content with her current life and remains hopeful. Unlike other Blade Children, she does not possess the distinctive slit-pupils characteristic of their kind.
