Who was the previous master of the Hokuto Shinken style before Kenshiro? The sifu who trained and adopted Raoh, Toki, Jagi, and Kenshiro in this particular martial art technique was named Ryuken (リュウケン, Ryūken?). After choosing Kenshiro as his successor, he met an untimely end at the hands of Raoh. This unfortunate event occurred due to a stroke that happened when Ryuken attempted to seal Raoh's fist. Although Kenshiro was unaware of the true cause of Ryukens death until later, both he and Raoh continued to reflect on their master's teachings during challenging circumstances. In Fist of the Blue Sky, Ryuken reappears under his former name, Ramon Kasumi.
