The "Bayern Vampire", also known as Schuwald, is a reclusive businessman who donates his extensive book collection to the University of Munich. He employs several students from the university to read him Latin. Despite his success, he has a dark past - he fathered a son with a prostitute named Margot Langer, and she had a friend in Prague who gave birth to twins. Schuwald's book dedication ceremony was targeted by Johan in a plan to cause chaos, but authorities believe that Schuwald is the true target and Dr. Tenma is responsible. Schuwald first appears in Chapter 47 of the story.
