Nikes father was named Bado. When Bado first held the baby Nike, he received a severe blow in the form of a punch. Despite this, he decided to train Nike to become a hero. Before departing for Koudai castle, Bado gave Nike his old helmet, which was cracked but still usable. Nike suggested that he wear it by tilting it slightly to one side.
