Kyoko Otonashi

Kyoko serves as the manager of an apartment complex called Ikkoku-kan. She resides in the designated room reserved for managers. Following her husband's passing, Kyoko is grappling with finding balance between honoring his memory and exploring new romantic connections. Her beloved dog, named Souichiro-san after her late spouse, remains a constant companion during this period of transition. Despite being listed on the Otonashi family registry, Kyoko's parents urge her to return home or consider remarrying. However, she chooses instead to dedicate herself to working for Grandfather Otonashi, who owns Ikkoku-kan.
