An elderly demon with a hat form possesses extensive knowledge about underworld matters and demons. In the OVA, he frequently sleeps due to age and is mainly present in Enma's head. Although rarely active, he advises Enma on the best course of action and alerts him of demon presence. Meanwhile, in the manga, he is younger, capable of changing form and appearance, has a more aggressive personality, and plays an increasingly active role. He frequently uses "jaja" as his copula sentence-ending.
