Soten is from the Thunder Demon Tribe, which also killed Shippo's father. One day, Soten challenged Shippo to a fight, but upon seeing him, he realized that Shippo was just a child. Despite this, they eventually became friends and Shippo even gave Soten some crayons. Soten has a companion dragon named Koryu who can transform into a cloud when hit on the head three times.
