Haruka, who is currently in her second year of high school, serves as the oldest sister and has been responsible for looking after her younger sisters for quite some time. This duty has led to certain misconceptions among her classmates. Despite being the most dependable out of the three siblings, Haruka tends to become extremely lazy when she is alone. During her junior high years, Haruka was known as a Banchō (a leader of a gang), though it was later revealed that this title was merely an honorific. Chiaki holds Haruka in high regard and looks up to her as a role model, using polite Japanese with her even though it's not customary for siblings to do so. The name "Haruka" is derived from the Japanese word for spring.
