Sensei

In Japanese "sensei" means "teacher". Similarly, in this anime series, Mariko serves as a teacher for Netto, Meiru, Dekao, Yaito, and Tohrus class. Although she only appears occasionally throughout the story, her significance lies in the fact that Masa and Higure are both trying to win her affections. It turns out that Mariko was once Masas teacher, and for Higure, she helped him turn away from a life of evil towards good. However, due to Commander Beefs secret identity as Masa-sans superhero alter ego, he cannot reveal himself to her. During the Axess series, we learn that Mariko has a twin sister named Yuriko. The two were separated 15 years ago following a tragic event that led them down different paths. While Mariko became a devoted school teacher, Yuriko was absorbed into the dark syndicate of Nebula.
