Professor Amamori is a scientist at Tsukuba Observatory who serves as Hajimes guardian after both parents were killed in an explosion. He has a younger brother in the TV series and an older brother in the film. Despite having plenty of hair initially, he began losing it following his discovery of La-Metal, which would collide with Earth. In the TV series, however, he keeps all his hair.
