The protagonist in the narrative is Nanami, a young lady with long, light purple hair. Nanami shares a close bond with Kenji as they grew up together, living next door to one another and attending school together. She takes care of her own vegetable garden which is located outside of town. As neighbors, they have an arrangement where they wake each other up every morning in turn.
