Two sisters from a family of seven siblings sought refuge at the estate of the Crimson Scholars after losing their other siblings due to hunger and disease. The harsh life of serfdom that their lord treated them like slaves led them to escape in hopes of finding a better life in the city. However, upon arrival, they were met with disdain from Chief Maid who saw them as "bugs" for allowing their circumstances to control their fate rather than taking charge and controlling their own lives as human beings. When asked to teach them how to become proper humans, they were taken under her guard, working as assistant maids. Through the education provided by Big Sister Maid, they gained knowledge about different social classes in human society while Little Sister Maid became an expert in food and drinks. Unlike their fellow Crimson Scholars, they remained ignorant of the estate's secret.
