Android 8, Artificial Human 8, Eighter, Hacchan, 人造人間8号

Android 8, also known as "Eighter" or Octavio, was introduced in the anime series Dragon Ball as the first android of Dr. Gero's creation. His appearance resembles that of Frankenstein's monster. He was nicknamed "Hat-chan" by Goku and later adopted this name for himself. Android 8 made his debut when Murasaki attempted to use him in a battle against Goku inside Muscle Tower, but due to his compassionate nature, he refused to kill Goku and instead assisted him in defeating General White and driving the Red Ribbon Army away from Jingle Village. In the anime only, Android 8 appeared during the King Piccolo Saga when Chow Castle was under attack by Piccolo and Snow was present there. He made small cameos throughout Dragon Ball Z and GT.
