Harisen-sensei, 江藤耕造

A music instructor referred to as "Harisen-sensei" because they bring a piano with them for disciplinary purposes during class. Chiaki's initial teacher, Harisen-sensei was eventually abandoned by the protagonist of the story. Despite being rejected by Nodame initially, he became her mentor after listening to one of her performances and ultimately relinquished his harisen in an attempt to persuade her to take lessons from him.
