Mikoto Uchiha was Sasuke and Itachi's mother. While alive, she appeared to favor Sasuke over Itachi, as Fugaku seemed to prefer Itachi. Despite this, Mikoto was a loving and supportive mother who allowed Sasuke to express his feelings more openly than he did with his father. In fact, when trying to cheer up Sasuke, she revealed that when she and Fugaku were alone, they would often discuss Sasuke. Although she was Itachi's mother, Mikoto had some doubts about him and suspected something was off. Tragically, she and her husband were killed by Itachi during the Uchiha Clan Massacre.
