Kazuko Tadashita was an animator who collaborated on the Sailor V anime with Hiromi Matsuno. The two friends purchased a set of unique pencils prior to beginning their work together, under the condition that they wouldn't use them until they had become proficient in their craft. Following the intervention of the Sailor Senshi, who rescued Hiromi from Castor and Pollux, Kazuko and Hiromi admitted that they had both already utilized their pencils, as each was concerned about being left behind by the other.
