Chrome is a robot with some of Chalice's memories implanted by Chalice himself. He first met Chalice as children, and although he couldn't speak at the time, he was hired by Chalice's father to teach him swordplay. Later on, Chalice taught Chrome how to speak, and in defiance of his father's orders, Chrome learned things that an artificial soldier should not usually know.
