Dr. Takeshi Kuroda is a brilliant neurologist and computer scientist at Sakuba University who developed the artificial intelligence system HAL and the Denshi Drug. However, after discovering that the drug had been administered to hundreds of individuals instead of just two test subjects as he intended, he was tragically murdered by HAL's three supercomputer guardians: Tatsuo, Shiho, and Hiroto.
