The owner of the Fraternity bead is a member of the Konaya family who runs an inn. He has demonstrated exceptional skills in taking care of people's needs, and three years ago he volunteered as a soldier to accompany his foster brother Genpachi during an army deployment aimed at containing a situation that occurred in a remote village inhabited by man-eating demons. Unfortunately, the brothers were attacked themselves and returned from their mission with transformed bodies that allowed them to turn into demons. Kobungo's peony-flower birthmark is located on his lower back.
