Meet Hakase, an 8-year-old scientist who possesses exceptional intellect but often behaves like a child. Despite her intelligence, she enjoys sharks and snacks and frequently modifies Nano, the robot she created, adding unique functions such as a roll cake dispensing arm. Nano is unaware of these modifications until they are first used. Hakase refuses to remove the obvious wind-up key from Nanos back because it is cute, despite Nanos regular requests. Although her family remains unknown, Hakase may be related to the Principal of Tokisadame Highschool due to their shared surname. She spends her days playing around in the house with Nano and Sakamoto.
