Lamidia, an intelligent major in the Martian military, advises the General Assembly to support the Earth resistance by sending reinforcements. When she discovers the plan to destroy the continent, she leads her subordinates in hijacking a spaceship to block the path of the Hecatoncheirs. During the final battle, it is Lamidia's voice that convinces Mars leaders to halt their orbital bombardment and give the resistance time to remove the MME.
