Miho is an adolescent girl who aspires to become a fashion designer. She resides with her aunt and three cousins while her dad is absent on business. Her aunt operates a dress boutique and takes advantage of Miho's vulnerability, compelling her to make deliveries on her bike despite being only ten years old. The two eldest cousins are unkind to Miho and ridicule her aspirations. However, the youngest cousin treats her with kindness. A local disco is hosting a competition for the "Disco Queen." Although Miho is too young to participate, she decides to design a dress for her cousin. When her aunt finds out, she tears up the dress. Following the departure of everyone, two fairies show mercy on Miho and transform her into "Fashion Lala," a sixteen-year-old blonde, enabling her to join the contest. During her performance, Miho's attire morphs into her previous designs, giving the impression that she has won. In the end, she returns to a content life with her father.
