Yuuji's former master, Asako, played a significant role in his upbringing after the death of his parents. She was both strict and nurturing, instilling her own values into him while helping him develop basic social skills. Despite her flaws, she managed to raise Yuuji as a relatively normal individual. However, he still harbors a deep-seated fear of large women due to Asako's incompetence in the kitchen, particularly when it came to cooking fried rice. Asako shared many interests with Yuuji, including reading. On rainy days or when she had nothing specific to do, she would often pass time with a book, cigarettes, and coffee.
