Ginpachi Nekota  

Neko, 猫田 銀八

Nekota Ginpachi is a longtime friend and eternal rival of Kamogawa Genji. He currently lives as a hermit in the mountains with his dog Hachi. Despite being retired from active boxing, Nekota remains deeply involved in the sport. He watches matches on tape when possible and helps train the Kamogawa team for upcoming fights. In fact, he even spent some time at the Kamogawa Gym teaching newcomers. In his prime, Nekota was a natural boxer with wild instincts that were considered better than those of Kamogawa and Dankichi, although they never openly admitted this to him. With quick reflexes and exceptional agility, Nekota was just as powerful as his rivals.
