Yuiko is rikis classmate who possesses an independent personality. she frequently carries a replica katana with her. although she's the same age as most of the cast, she's often viewed as an older sister due to her calm demeanor. haruka refers to her as "anego" (姉御, "elder sister"). yuiko appreciates things and people that she finds adorable, such as several female characters in the show. she excels academically, particularly in mathematics. despite being born outside of japan, yuiko identifies as entirely japanese. her birth name is elizabeth, which is sometimes shortened to lizbeth as a nickname, but she prefers to be called kurugaya.
