Naru is a 14-year-old middle school student who has been friends with yaya since elementary school and knows tami from childhood. she enjoys reading fairy tales and looks up to the heroines in those stories. despite seeing herself as average, she wishes to become more like them. naru is shy by nature and feels jealous of some peers such as yaya, hana, and tami because she thinks they are more interesting than her.
