Xin Hong is a friend of Xiang Ying from childhood and was referred to as Number 36 during training for the Zhuque Corps. He has developed feelings for Xiang Ying, which led to them facing off in a fight to the death during their final exam. Despite killing his only friend, Xiang Ying, Xin Hong survived and was transferred to the Qinglong Corps, another branch of Zheng Dao Hui. His motivation to reunite with Xiang Ying has driven him throughout this time.
