Robert "Bobby" Louis Drake, born in Floral Park, Long Island, New York to William Robert Drake and Madeline Beatrice Bass-Drake, is of Jewish descent on his mother's side and Irish Catholic on his father's. Bobby first discovered his mutant abilities at a young age when he felt an intense coldness and shivered uncontrollably.
