Kate is an important character in Kaleido Star who works as a doctor for performers at Kaleido Stage. She has been friends with Jerry since childhood and first appears when Soras father is hospitalized. Later, she helps Sora train for Arabian Nights and assists Layla after she injures her shoulder while practicing the Legendary Great Maneuver. Kate is a caring person but takes her job seriously and can be strict in ensuring patients follow her instructions. She is always with Jerry when attending Soras performances. In New Wings, Kate becomes involved in a bank robbery and is held captive along with Jerry. After the robbery ends, Jerry expresses his feelings for her and she accepts his proposal.
